Candidates who have completed their undergraduate degree in any branch of biology (B.Sc. in Botany / Zoology / Biotechnology / Food Science / Nutrition / Agricultural Sciences), Medical Sciences (M.B.B.S. / B.Pharm) Veterinary Sciences (B.V.Sc.), Biotech / Biomedical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) or Ayurveda (B.A.M.S) courses from a recognized university are eligible.

Admission procedure includes Skill Assessment: The skill assessment will consist of a test on written skills, communication skills and logical reasoning and Personal interview: Assessment of past performance in X, XII and Degree ( if result awaited, marks available currently) during the Personal Interview. Biotechnology is a fundamental area of applied science that utilizes living cells and cellular materials to create pharmaceutical, diagnostic, agricultural, environmental, and other products to benefit society.The Master of Science in Biotechnology is designed to provide specialised scientific learning along with skills training to help students explore various career paths in agriculture, health care, forensics, industrial processing, and environmental management. Students will be provided hands on learning into the functioning of the biotechnology industry. Students will have to undertake an Industry Project in their second year of the programme. The objectives of the course are to develop a detailed technical understanding of the key methods used in the contemporary biotechnology sector and acquire and critically appraise new data arising from the use of these techniques and to interpret the implications of such data.
