BE in EEE/ ECE/ Electronics in Instrumentation Engg., / Instrumentation Technology / Electronics & Telecommunication / Bio-Medical Engg., / Medical Electronics / TCE or equivalent degree, AMIE in appropriate branch with an aggregate 50% marks(45% for SC/ST & other backward classes of Karnataka students only)

It is a full time 2 years post Graduate degree The M Tech in Advanced Power Electronics program is deals with study of AC-DC Power-Drives, HVDC Power Transmission, Instrumentation, Electric Vehicles, Invertors etc. During the course students learn about Power Converters, Industrial Control Electronics, Linear and Non-Linear Systems Theory ,Switched Mode Power Conversion Power Electronic Drives Microcontroller Applications in Power Converters. During the course students attend lots of seminars, industrial visit, conferences, workshops, training. Students need to submit project report in the last semester. After the course they can continue further study in their chosen specialization field and obtain PhD
