Eligibility Criteria

A 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry/Electronics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science as optional subjects. English as one of the languages. Minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC only from Karnataka state) from a recognized board. Valid rank in KCET/COMED-K/JEE Mains.

Course Details

BKIT offers B.E./B. Tech in Chemical Engineering with 30 intake students. This department was established in 1994. In Gulbarga region, BKIT was the first college to offer this unique course. This department has well-established laboratories in; Momentum Transfer, Mass-Transfer, Chemical Reaction Engineering, Process Control Labs, and also computational facilities. CHEMCAD software has been installed to modernize the computer application in chemical engineering laboratory. For drinking water quality analysis in and around the Gulbarga district, this department established a special lab for pollution control and instrumental methods of chemical analysis. The department has very good rapport with Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad; National Chemical Laboratory (NCL), Pune; Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Hyderabad; Axiom Engineers Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai and some other MNC's and the students undertake live projects in these organizations. This department also has a separate library (Students' Association library) with more than 200 titles and 5 volumes in each subject, also has national and international journals, magazines, and project seminar reports.
