Eligibility Criteria

A 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry/Electronics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science as optional subjects. English as one of the languages. Minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC only from Karnataka state) from a recognized board. Valid rank in KCET/COMED-K/JEE Mains.

Course Details

BKIT offers B.E./B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering with 180 intake students. This department was established in 1982. The laboratory facilities include; Computer-Aided Machine Drawing and also Engineering Drawing, Metrology, Material Testing, Fluid Machines, Heat and Mass Transfer, Heat Engine, and Design Engineering Laboratory. The department also has Foundry Lab and Smithy Lab for higher classes of Mechanical Engineering students. The workshops are in; Fitting, Welding and Sheet Metal Shop. Machine Shop with all types of machine tools is the main attraction of the department. CATIA, AutoCAD and Solid Edge are the advanced packages in the CAD/CAM centres. Department provides high-speed broad band internet connectivity. The department has Mechanical Engineering Students and Staff Association (MESSA), Akshay Urja Club (Renewable Energy Club) and Solar Park. Department undertakes the repair works and fabrication as per the needs of the organization.
