Candidate must have completed B.E. / B. Tech. in Mech./Prod./Auto/Metallurgical/Aeronautical/Mechatronics/Marine/Industrial/Manufacturingwith a minimum of 50% (45% in case of SC/ST) marks in aggregate of any recognized university / Institution or AMIE or any other qualification recognized as equivalent and candidate must have appeared for GATE/ PGCET or any other equivalent examination conducted by recognized institute/ agency

Thermal Power and Engineering is a branch of engineering which deals with the conversion of heat into other forms of energy and the other forms of energy may bemechanical and electrical energies. The program is design to provide in-depth knowledgein mechanical, design, testing, control and evaluation of thermal power equipment. The program also aims at improving the necessary analytical and technical skills amongengineers in this area. M.Tech on thermal power engineering specializations include I.C engines, hydro turbo machines, thermal turbo machines, heat transfer and thermal transfer, thermodynamics and combustion engineering, refrigeration and air conditioning.
