Structural Engineering is a sub-division of civil engineering.Strucural Engineering deals with applied physical laws and the performance of different materials and geometrics. The role of structural engineers is to understand, predict, and calculate the strength, stability and rigidity of built structures. They are also involved in the design of machinery, medical equipment, vehicles etc. Structural Engineering includes Earthquake engineering, Fire Engineering, Roof Engineering, Tower Engineering and Wind engineering. Some of the civil structural engineering work includes Bridges, Damns, Earth Quakes, Pipelines, Power stations, tunnels, Waterways, Roads, Water and waste water infrastructure etc.
