Eligibility Criteria

General Category: Foreign and Indian nationals with OCI/PIO cards are eligible for admissions under general category. Eligibility, Selection, and admission to M.S., M.D & PhD Courses is according to the prevailing rules of the Medical Council of India, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore and COMED-K.

Admission Guidelines

Candidate must have obtained MBBS degree from MCI recognized institution. Candidates must have completed one year compulsory rotating internship after passing the final professional examination.

Course Details

MD in psychiatry is a 3-year postgraduate program offered in Kasturba Medical College with an objective to create professionals having competencies ranging from the clinical management of complex mental disorders to managing a population-based integrated mental health care plan. The students will be renders training on advanced concepts like electroconvulsive therapy, community mental health services, and extramural activities. Students will have to involve in poster presentations on the selected special topics. During this postgraduate program, hands-on practical exposure will be given on ECT, psychological testing, and other advanced neurological examination.
