Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have obtained MBBS degree from MCI recognized institution. Candidates must have completed one-year compulsory rotating internship after passing the final professional examination.

Admission Guidelines

Candidates must qualify in PG medical entrance exam. Qualified candidates shall be called for MD/MS admission counselling in the order of merit. Based on the availability of medical seats, candidates will be allotted a MD/MS seat.

Course Details

Khaja Banda Nawaz Institute of Medical Sciences offers 3-year postgraduate program MS in ophthalmology with the aim of creating medical professional to provide services in research, patient care services, and teaching and training. At the end of this course, the graduates will develop core skills in cognitive knowledge to include basic sciences and in clinical decision making and disease management. Students will be given complete anatomical aspects of the eye along with physiology of the eye and adnexa. The ophthalmology department laboratory is fully equipped with modern instrumentation to support different techniques. The laboratory has tonometry, epiphora assessment techniques like Jone’s dye test, dry eye evaluation tests, corneal ulceration detection and evaluation techniques, direct and indirect ophthalmological techniques, and other advanced ophthalmological techniques to orient the graduates to modern science.
