The minimum qualification for admission to the postgraduate program is a MBBS degree or an equivalent degree recognized by Nitte University and MCI.

Admission Guidelines

The admission under the General category will be on the basis of NEET PG ranking. The centralised counselling will be conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA)

Course Details

MD in Microbiology includes the study of bacteriology, serology and parasitology. Students will acquire knowledge and practical skills in the sub-specialties of Bacteriology including Mycobacteriology, Virology, Parasitology, Immunology and Mycology so as to be able to deal with diagnosis and prevention of infectious diseases in the community.
