Course Details

The B.E degree program in E&CE was established in the year 1967 and a separate block for ECE was started in 1981. It offers 4year B.E degree course with 90 students of input. This is an autonomous program, affiliated to VTU, Belgaum. The department also offers a Master degree with 25 students of input and it was started in the year 1987. In the year 1990, the department was recognized as a research centre for M.Sc. (Engineering) & Ph.D. programs. The department has state-of-the-art infrastructure and very good laboratory facilities. The department labs are renovated and significantly improved under TEQIP-I grants. The department has well experienced, highly qualified and motivated staff members. The department regularly organizes short-term courses and workshops from 1983, to update the knowledge of the students, faculties of Engineering and Polytechnics colleges. Since from its establishment, the E&CE department is working hard to give the best results in B.E and M.Tech courses. The department offers excellent research activities. The department has very good placement facilities.The department maintains a good relationship with many organizations like Eagle photonics Bangalore, INSAT Master Control Facility and BSNL.
