Eligibility Criteria

Admission shall be open to the candidates who have passed in Bachelor of Science with not less than 50% (45% in case of SC/ST) of the marks in aggregate of all the semesters/years of degree examination.

Course Details

This department was established in 2009. The course is offered in 4 semesters with choice of electives in final semester. During this course, the students will get in-depth knowledge on algebra, topology, numerical analysis and simulation, complex analysis, continuum mathematics, measure and integration, fluid mathematics, differential geometry and other electives like optimization techniques, mathematical modelling, etc. Mount Carmel College offers this 2-year postgraduate programme in Mathematics to promote the logical and reasoning thinking of the graduates and to make them participate in research and development.
