Orthopedics is one of the surgical specialization branches in medical science which mainly deals with musculoskeletal system. Orthopedics not only teaches how to do surgery using surgical technics but also teaches prevention treatments. Techniques used in the treatment of orthopedics are Amputation, Arthroscopic surgeries, Bunionectomy and hammer toe repair, Cartilage repair or resurfacing procedures, Cartilage surgery to knee and many more, recent development in medical sciences brought newer techniques in the field of orthopedics like Minimally invasive surgery, Advanced external fixation, Use of bone graft substitutes and bone-fusing protein.
