Eligibility Criteria

A 2nd PUC/10+2 or equivalent with physics and mathematics as compulsory subjects. Chemistry/Electronics/Biology/Biotechnology/Computer Science as optional subjects. English as one of the languages. Minimum of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST/OBC, only from Karnataka state) from a recognized board. Valid rank in KCET/COMED-K/JEE Mains.

Course Details

The mechanical engineering department was established in 2010, now with an intake of 120 seats. Laboratories are well planned to suite the mechanical engineering studies. Department has 30 Core-i3 Systems and one NT server along with software and packages related to the mechanical engineering. The department has highly motivated and talented faculty, most of the faculty members are from IITs, NITs and other prestigious universities. Head of the department, Dr. P. Rathnakumar is a highly qualified, very ironic academician and he has received best teacher award. Personality development, communication, and others are the activities happen frequently in the department. The department strives hard to impart quality education and to keep the students on the competitive edge of the present-day technology and marching towards university ranks also. The department is actively involved in placement of the students through ON/OFF campus interviews. The students regularly organize number of technical and extra-curricular events and bring out magazine annually under MECHANICAL ENGINEERING STUDENTS FORUM.
