Candidate shall have passed the Engineering Degree Course from recognised university with minimum of 50% marks.. Admission Guidelines

Admissions are made, based on the merit determined by the KEA to the eligible candidates who have passed the recognised engineering degree course with minimum of 50% marks under the government quota and few seats by the college. The admissions are through central counseling on the basis of merit in PGCET or GATE. A few seats are also available under sponsored and Management quota

Course Details

Material Science & Technology (MST) is one of the versatile sister branch in Mechanical Engineering .RGIT is the only college under VTU offering this specialization for M.Tech course in Mechanical Engineering. MST is the subject which deals with structure, properties, mechanical behavior of various ferrous, on-ferrous and composite materials .In this course students will be studying in detail about the above materials including Nano Science & Technology, Cryogenic & High temperature application of materials, surface properties, surface treatment etc., In their final semester students will be doing dissertation work on development of above materials & properties.
