Eligibility Criteria

II-Year Pre-University or XII Std. or equivalent exams with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics. Not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages.

Admission Guidelines

Generally, admission is done on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam (CET/COMED-K) for all the B.E./B.Arch. courses.

Course Details

SIT offers B.E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering with an intake of 60 intake seats. This department was established in 2011 and it is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum. This department has totally 10 laboratories: Surveying lab, Basic Material Testing lab, Hydraulics and Hydraulic Machinery lab, Applied Geology lab, Concrete and Highway lab, Environmental lab, Geotech Lab, and CAD lab. This department produces highly capable civil engineers to build the nation. SIT's Civil Engineering students are always encouraged to express and to share their innovative ideas with their teaching staff to participate in conferences and seminars. This department has tie ups with industry agencies as well as government bodies for better hands-on industrial insight to the students. Regularly, experts are invited to the campus to deliver guest lectures and interact with students to expand their knowledge base.
