Course Details

Siddaganga institute started MCA program in the academic year 1994, with 30 students of input to bridge a huge chasm between applications and theory of the computer. In the year 2008, the program becomes autonomous. The program mainly focuses on the applications of software technology to solve business problems and also the problems of the society. The program offers in-deep knowledge in application-oriented subjects. The program provides a strong knowledge and methodology to develop the efficient software product, and to maintain software products correctly, with the use of networking technology that consists of many technologies and software applications. The syllabus of this program is revised regularly and supplemented by additional inputs to fulfill the requirements of the IT industries. Apart from the academic syllabus department also organizes many workshops, seminars from the industrial as well as academic experts. In this institute, the students are consistently encouraged by the faculties to perform self-learning activities through seminars and project works. Apart from these activities, the students are encouraged to improve their writing skills through the departmental newsletter called Info-vista. To sharpen the skill sets of the student the department organize Intra-departmental contests. The students of this department are getting soft skill training at different levels to reach the ever-changing needs of the IT industries. The 90% of the MCA students are get placed in the campus recruitments. Siemens, Aricent, TCS, Accenture, Infosys, HP etc. are the companies which offer placement for the MCA students.
