Course Details

This Ph.D. program is an innovative program focused on the combination of improvements made in the field of computer science and structural engineering. This combination provides the structural engineer with the freedom and flexibility for a better understanding of the behaviour of the structure, with loading uncertainties and material & geometric non-linearity. Students with the civil engineering background should join this Ph.D. program. This course provides an excellent basement in the structural engineering subjects. It also provides some basic knowledge of computer science subjects such as databases, visualization, programming, and graphics etc. This program provides a deep knowledge of computational methods and mathematical modeling in the areas of static, dynamic, nonlinear analysis of structures. It also includes optimization and visualization methods of computer-aided design.
