II-Year Pre-University or XII Std. or equivalent exams with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology, Electronics. Not less than 45% of the aggregate marks in optional subjects with English as one of the languages.
Admission Guidelines
Generally, admission is done on the basis of performance in the Entrance Exam (CET/COMED-K) for all the B.E./B.Arch. courses.
Course Details
VNEC offers B.E./B. Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with an intake of 60 students. This course was established in 2010 with a mission of imparting holistically integrated education and research capabilities to the graduates. Along with the main aspects, this course will also cover electronic devices and circuits involved in instrumentation and measurement, control and protection of electrical equipments and conversion systems. Modern concepts of computer and advanced applications of computer-based systems in design, analysis and efficient power system operation and maintaining security and quality are also included in this curriculum. The faculty members always strive for rendering advanced knowledge to the students. All the labs are well-equipped to not only cater the needs of standard curriculum in various subjects but also to encourage research work. Industrial visits organized by the department along with technical lectures by experts from industries and institutes in competitive areas to fill the gap between standard curricular syllabus and current developments in the job market.
