Course Details

The Mechanical Engineering Department was started in the year1996 and affiliated to Mysore University. At present, the department is affiliated to VTU. The annual intake of the department is 60 students. Mechanical Engineering consists of Thermal Engineering, Design, Materials & Manufacturing and also interdisciplinary subjects like CAE/CAD/CAM, Automation, Computational fluid dynamics, Mechatronics, Operational Research, FEM and Managerial Aspects of Industry, etc. The department has well experienced, highly qualified and dynamic faculty members in fulfilling the needs of the students. The faculty members are specialized in the fields of Machine Design, Thermal Engineering, Manufacturing, and Management. Senior faculty members of this department are Ph.D. holders and also they have the minimum of 15-20 years of industrial experience, they provide the students with the practical exposure that the industry expects of them. Three faculty members are working hard pursue their Ph.D. degree. The supporting staffs are skilled, qualified and experienced.
