Eligibility Criteria

Basic eligibility for the programme is a pass at the +2 level (Karnataka PUC / ISC / CBSE / NIOS / State Boards) from any recognised Board in India. Students pursuing International curriculum must have AIU approval and must obtain a grade of not less than 'C' or its equivalent. It is compulsory to have studied any two subjects (Economics, Maths and Statistics) at Class XII level. Candidates writing the +2 examinations may apply with their class X and XI marks.

Admission Guidelines

Admission procedure includes Skill Assessment: The skill assessment will consist of a test on written skills, communication skills and logical reasoning and Personal interview: Assessment of past performance in class 10 and class 11/12 during personal interview. Candidates will be intimated about the Selection status (Selected / Wait Listed / Not Selected) through the “Application Status” link on the University website. The Selection results will be declared as mentioned in the important dates

Course Details

The course is designed to develop students with respectable intellectual levels. It seeks to expose the students to various concepts in Economics, Mathematics and Statistics and encourage them to uphold scientific integrity and objectivity in professional endeavors. The undergraduate courses in economics are structured to contribute to the student’s liberal education with a multiplicity of combinations. The programmes impart analytical skills and intellectual maturity to comprehend the complexities in the working of the economy. The main objective of this course is to cultivate statistical thinking among students by acquainting them with various statistical methods and their applications in different fields.
