M.S. Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences (MSRUAS), created by an act in the State of Karnataka, India, came into existence in December 2013. The University is sponsored by Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) trust. This is a private university which was created by integrating the “M.S. Ramaiah School of Advanced Studies, M.S. Ramaiah College of Hotel Management, M.S. Ramaiah College of Pharmacy, M.S. Ramaiah Dental College and the M.S. Ramaiah Advanced Learning Centre. The university is UGC Approved and NIRF-MHDA Ranked.

The main campus of M S Ramaiah University of Applied Sciences is being developed on 60 acres land located at Chikkaballapur. At present, the faculties of Engineering and Technology, Art and Design, Management & Commerce and Science & Humanities are being operated from Peenya campus. The faculties of Dental Sciences, Pharmacy, Hospitality Management and Catering Technology and Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine are being operated from Gnanagangothri campus.

The university aims to focus its programmes on student-centric higher education so that the graduates are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical skills expected by industry and business. The university has Academic Studies; Academic Research; Sponsored Research; Training, Skill Development and Lifelong Learning and a Techno Centre for Consultancy, Product Design and Development and Entrepreneurship Development. The University provides an integrated approach to academics, research, training, real life problem solving and entrepreneurship.

Wi-Fi enabled campus has the modern infrastructural facilities like class rooms, laboratories and library in all the departments. The campus has seminar halls and work shops to conduct conferences. It also has student amenities like Sports Centres, Cultural activity centres, Recreation Centres. The university hostel campus has a full-fledged mess which provides breakfast, Lunch, evening snacks and Dinner to hostel inmates. Laundry and housekeeping facilities are also provided in the hostel.
