Manipal University Online Entrance Test

Manipal University conducts its own online entrance exam to offer admissions to candidates in the programmes that it has on offer. Candidates can secure admissions in courses provided at Manipal University on the basis of their rank/score in Manipal University Online Entrance Test (MU-OET). Officials share that AIEEE/JEE or any other entrance exam scores will not be valid for Manipal University Admissions.
Programmes on offer for admissions at Manipal University include – MBBS, MD, MS, PG Medical Diploma, MSc (in many disciplines), MPhil, DM, Bachelor of Audiology & Speech Pathology (BASLP), Bachelor of Cardiovascular Technology (BSc CVT), BSc (in many disciplines), Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT), BTech (in many disciplines), MTech (in many disciplines), MSc (in many disciplines), BArch, BDes, BA, MA and the likes.

Pattern

MU-OET exam pattern: The Engineering Entrance of Manipal University consists of 200 multiple choice questions (MCQs). MU-OET is of two and a half hours duration.
The approximate distribution of questions in the exam is as follows:

Marking: For every correct answer, candidates will be awarded with one mark. Maximum marks candidates can score in MU-OET is 200.

Eligibility for Manipal University Online Entrance Test

Candidates need to fulfill the below mentioned eligibility criteria if they want to apply for MU-OET:
Have cleared 10+2 from A Level, IB, American 12th grade or equivalent.
Studied Physics, Mathematics and English as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or any technical vocational subjects as optional subjects in their 10+2.
Have scored a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Mathematics and any one of the optional subjects.

Manipal University Online Entrance Test Application

Candidates can apply for MU-OET either through the online medium or even by the offline mode. In order to successfully complete the admissions process for MU-OET, candidates need to fulfill the below mentioned steps.

Candidates can apply for admissions at Manipal University by completing their application process either online or offline. There is a different application process for Indian and International students.

Indian students of General Category can submit their application form at Manipal University in five simple steps, that is, by providing their:

International Admissions

Candidates applying under international admissions have to provide:

International admission candidates can pay their application fee through Credit Card, Debit Card, Net Banking or Demand Draft.

After filling the MU-OET application form, candidates have to select the test centre as well as the date and time slot when they want to appear for the entrance exam. However, the test centre, date and time slot for the exam as selected by candidates will be given to them as per their preference only if it is available.
Candidates can book their MU-OET test slots here.

Candidates will be able to access their MU-OET admit card (e-hall ticket) 24 hours after they have booked their schedule through the online test booking system.
Candidates can download their admit card for MU-OET by filling their application form number and online test booking password on the official website of the entrance exam.
The e-hall ticket will also be emailed to candidates on the email address mentioned by them in the application form.

Candidates need to give a multiple choice objective type entrance exam to secure admissions in engineering programmes on offer at Manipal University

After making it to the rank list of MU-OET, candidates are called for the counselling round. Here, the candidates have to select the branch of their choice as per the availability.
Admissions in Manipal University’s Engineering programmes will be done on the basis of ranks obtained by candidates in MU-OET.
