Karnataka Management Aptitude Test
Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) is a state-level entrance examination for admission to post graduate level programmes offered by MBA colleges and B-schools in the state of Karnataka. Aspirants can apply for admission to MBA, PGDM and MCA programmes by appearing in this examination. Conducted by Karnataka Private Post Graduate Colleges Association (KPPGCA), KMAT scores are used for admission by more than 150 colleges across the state. Students are enrolled on the basis of marks scored in the KMAT entrance test. It is a paper-pencil based test having moderate difficulty level. The KMAT MBA entrance exam will consists of the following sections:

Syllubus for Karnataka Management Aptitude Test
Candidates appearing for KMAT need to prepare on topics related to basic mathematics, aptitude and language comprehension skills. Students can refer to syllabus prescribed to competitive entrance exam like CAT, CMAT etc.

Eligibility for Maharashtra Common Entrance Test
KMAT eligibility criteria is based on UGC guidelines:
• Candidates need to have Bachelors degree / Masters degree from any recognised education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering / Technology or equivalent
• Atleast 50% aggregate marks; 40% for SC/ST candidate
• Candidates will then be shortlisted on the basis on their performance in KMAT. The scorecards of the candidates will be sent to the colleges.
The selected candidates who have qualified in KMAT need to report to their respective college to secure admissions.
Karnataka Management Aptitude Test Application
The eligible and interested candidates must follow the below instructions while filling the online application form for KMAT:
Name : Candidates must fill their name as mentioned in the school leaving certificate.
Nativity: Candidates must select on the appropriate option irrespective of the fact whether they are or aren’t residents of Karnataka state.
Choice of Test Centre: Select your test Centre city from the list of cities provided. Kindly note that once the city has been selected changes will not be allowed
Date of Birth:Enter the Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.
Applying for:Select on the appropriate category option, i.e., MBA or MCA.
Stream: Applicants need to specify the stream/discipline in which the candidate has obtained graduation degree
Address:Complete postal address and other communication details should be correctly mentioned in the space provided. Write your first name in CAPITAL LETTERS. Failure to write complete address might result in non-receipt of postal communication, if any.
Fees:Demand Draft should be made in favor of “KMAT “, payable at Bangalore.
Candidates should keep a photocopy of the Application form and Demand draft as a proof of acknowledgement.
Test Fees The registration fee for KMAT for MBA/ PGDM programme should be paid.
Mode of Payment Candidates need to submit a demand draft drawn in favour of “KMAT”, payable at Bangalore.
Admit Card KMAT admit cards will be available for download on the official website. Candidates are required to enter the details of application number and date of birth in the space provided to download the admit card.
